Blog About the UK Branch

This was a very good video. I was a little confused about it at first and didn't really know what to think about it, but then once it reversed the words it began to touch my feelings more. Creators from all over are just people who listen to what people want to hear, listen to, or get from certain products. The first part is basically thinking about all the negativity about it and then reverses and let's everyone see the positive part last. This relates to students as well. Teachers may think that students don't want to learn, but in reality they really do. Everyone wants to be successful in life and it's just getting through to the students to find out who they really are and what they want to do with their lives in the future. If i'm teaching math and students don't really care about it, I should find out what their interests actually are and try to relate the content to what they like. This way they can see the connection and become more involved in the subject matter.
I didn't really know a whole lot about blogging before this semester, but then when I told my friends and family I had to create one, some said they have their own blog too. My cousin has a blog and she is in China right now teaching English as a 2nd language. She blogs about the funny things her students do, the ideas and lessons they do with the students, and talks about her time in China as well. It is a really good way to stay connected and is free! I might try and keep this around after this semester to blog about the different aspects in my life, mainly, just so I can get my feelings written down. I like going back to something 10 years later and remember what life was like and how i've improved since then.

  1. I am pretty darn impressed with the video - both the content and the delivery! Very clever - especially considering it was nothing more than narrated text. No fancy graphics or special effects. And I totally did not see the twist coming - my jaw hit the floor when she started reading it backwards. My frustration with the original words quickly gave way to appreciation. Wow!

I certainly have enjoyed getting to you this semester, Bailey. It's been a pleasure working with you, and I wish you the best of luck in your future teaching career.
